We had a group of eight and Gianluca was our guide. It was a great day! Gianluca was charming and informative and an excellent driver/guide. He was waiting for us before our set time and had an interesting running commentary about the Etruscans and the history of the area before we arrived at our first stop so we knew what we were seeing and had some understanding of the area. We visited Tuscania and Tarquinia, the Etruscan Museum and the underground tombs of the Necropolis. The area is beautiful and the pre-Roman history is fascinating.
They are an excellent company and we will certainly use them again.

Gianluca picked up promptly at 8:00 at the cruise ship pier. The van was a very comfortable MB. The sites that we wanted to visit were the Colesseum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's. We drove by the Circus Maximus, pyramid, Eur, Piazza del Popolo, Victor Emanuel Monument, all the while getting excellent commentary by our driver. We were dropped off and picked up at strategic places to maximize our time. The only issue was one of our own making, we tried to do too much, so we had to hurry the Vatican Museum.

Our driver Gianluca was wonderful. Patiently drove us around showing us the city at night. Brought us to some hidden gems where as tourists we probably would never have found on our own. It was a very memorable Cab Tour and I would highly recommend this to anyone traveling to Rome for the first time.

Our guide, Gianluca , was excellent. He picked us up at the airport where we were an hour delayed as luggage didn't arrive on time. He waited patiently for us and then got us to our scheduled time at the Vatican, dropping our luggage off at the hotel for us. He picked us up at 9am the next morning and gave us an incredible tour of the city. The next day, he arrived at 8am as we wanted to get to the Colosseum before it got busy. Afterwards, we saw some other amazing sights before leaving to get to the port. I absolutely loved Rome and it's largely due to the fact that we were able to see so much in such a short period of time. Gianluca was highly educated, super friendly and extremely knowledgable. My three teens loved the tour and thought he was awesome. I highly recommend Gianluca . Thank you!

Rome in a day tour - from start to finish this was a day to remember. An excellent way to see all the major sites when you have limited time.

We arrived in Rome after a long and tiring flight from Sydney. It was a huge relief to be met at the airport by Gianluca  who quickly took charge of our luggage and led the way to his vehicle.

In no time we were safely transported to our B&B equipped with some great local advice and recommendations from the very friendly and obliging Gianluca.

We were so pleased with the decision to book a Ave Advenae-transfer as finding our way and negotiating the somewhat terrifying Rome traffic after such an epic flight could have been a nightmare.

I highly recommend using this service, particularly if you're a novice traveler....the peace of mind is well worth the fee.

Our fantastic driver, Jean-Lucca, first took us to Lake Bracciano and the town of Anguilliaria. There was a little weekend market, some sweet cafes, and a wonderful place to stroll by the gorgeous lake. We had some gelato and coffee and then headed to the Castle (Castello Odescalchi di Bracciano). It is best known these days for where Tom Cruise was married, but it is really amazing and there are some great stories of historic events there. Stunning view of the lake from the towers. Then we had a really special lunch in the town of Ceri, which served all local food and season ingredients. Next was an easy transfer to the ship after a very scenic ride that took us out of Jet Lag and into cruising mode. We all agreed it was the best way to get to the ship in Civitavecchia and was reasonable as well.They came highly recommended by our travel agent and I would agree they are the best.

 We had John Luca in Rome and Johnmaire in Florence on day tours and both where very informative. Fantastic service, clean vans, always where able to pick us up early with a big smile.

Our guide John was excellent. This is not supposed to be an informational tour but John was full of information and stories of all the sites we saw. He let us stay as long as we wanted at the sites and offered to take our pictures. His English was very good. I would recommend this tour.

They have grown into luxury vehicles and personalized service with the addition of tours. We traveled to Rome 10/4-10/8/2015 for our 25th wedding Anniversay and used them for transfers to and from airport. We rode is style and comfort, they met us at meeting point, communicated well, picked us up on time and were personable, punctual and pleasant.

We also used them for a day in Tuscany with luxury transport and a tremedous guide, GianLuca. He took us to Montepulciano and Pienza. We ate in a small taverna in Monichello, best meal of the trip. GianLuca was extremely knowledgeable in Roman and Etruscan history, couldn't stop listening to him. Learned history, toured medieval villages,teasted Picorino cheeses, drank and bought great Sangiovese wine from greatest wine region in Italy, spectacular countryside and I believe Tuscany has stolen part of my soul. Will be back and hopefully call GianLuca for more memorable adventures.

Gianluca did an amazing job. Our tour to Orvieto and Civita di Bagnoregio was truly magical. Since it was essentially a holiday, every restaurant called was booked. We ended up having lunch at a working farm house with Salvatore and another tour group , which was so much more enjoyable than any restaurant. We will remember that day forever and would definitely call upon Gianluca . Please give us the name of the farmhouse as many friends have requested the name and address.

I booked two transfers in September 2014 - to and from Civitavecchia. Both our drivers (Gianluca and Sergio) gave us an excellent service, both were waiting for us before the booked time, which was most convenient to us. They both drove safely and were more than willing to help us with the luggage (which was quite heavy on the way back!!). The vehicles are clean and spacious. Will definitely use this service again and also recommend it. This service made our holiday more relaxed and hassle free!

The day we arrived back in Rome after our cruise, we had a night time tour scheduled, followed by a day time tour the next day. GianLuca (I hope I spelled it right) was our guide, he arrived early both days, and what a fabulous job!!!! He was very knowledgeable, spoke very clear English, was completely professional, and a fantastic driver (I don't know how he made it through some of those streets), he was also very friendly and passionate about what he does.

The van was very clean and comfortable. My husband scheduled everything months ago, and the correspondence was easy and complete, plus they answered all of our questions thoroughly. We also toured the Coliseum and the Vatican, they "talked" us through getting the tickets ahead of time (don't skip this step), and scheduled us a licensed tour guide to take us through the Vatican (she was awesome too).

I can't say enough about this company; the professionalism, expertise, friendliness, followthrough, and value were all top of the line!! You may find cheaper, but you won't find as good or better!!!!

Our driver was Gianluca. He was waiting as we got off the ship. The four of us were treated to a lovely and comfortable people carrier for our Day in Rome excursion. It was to be a day we will never forgot. Gianluca was very professional and very knowledgeable. We first went to the Colosseum, we had prebooked our tickets before travelling following the link on Romecabs website, very easy. We saw the Panthean which still made us speechless when we walked in although we have been before. He explained all the sights as we were passing them. The highlight for us was the keyhole in the door. It looks through a passage of hedges to St Peters Basillica. its amazing. We hadn,t booked tickets for Vatican as wasn,t sure if we would have time. Gianluca made a call, booked us the tickets and even gave us tips on how to get through the Vatican and Sistine Chapel without queing. Great tip. The Sisitine Chapel was another highlight, it has to be seen to be fully appreciated. He took us to a restaurant where we had a lovely lunch. The only disappointment was there was no water in the trevi Fountain as it is having maintenance work done. We have seen it before but the other 2 haven,t. We still tossed the coins in. We learned so much in one day, we also felt extremely safe doing our own excursion instead of the Ships…

After our long trip from California to Rome my husband and I planned to meet with our daughter's family arriving about the same time from North Carolina. We were right on time and our driver was right there to meet us. Such a welcome sight after a long night of flying. He had also been checking on our the arrival time of our NC family and knew they would arrive almost 3 hours late due to mechanical difficulties on their plane. What could have been a miserable start to our vacation was made exceedingly pleasant by our very friendly and efficient driver (perfect English too!) who offered to show us a few sites in Rome while we waited, or to just wait with us at the airport--our choice! Here was the shocker --- no extra charge for the extra time! "A late plane isn't your fault" said John Lucca as he took on all our luggage while we settled comfortably in sparkling clean, comfortable Mercedes van! ( we needed this larger car because there would be five of us once the rest of the family arrived). After rechecking the late plane's new arrival time and letting his office know our new plan we were whisked off for a wonderful unplanned "mini tour" of historical sites not too far from the airport which ended with cappuccinos on the beach til we got the call the plane had arrived at last! Even after the long wait our driver was just as friendly and helpful to our late arriving family as he had been to us hours earlier! Exhausted travelers we were, but so well cared for and informed as we headed for Siena. Of course this driver earned a healthy tip from us but it was richly deserved. I will always use the services this company for future travels after this delightful experience. We are having a great time in Siena by the way!

From the time we were picked up at the port, the service was beyond excellent. Our drivers, John Luc and Constantine, were there with signs when the 12 of us got off the boat at 8am. We did the Seven Wonders of Ancient Rome tour with afternoon modifications. It was obvious they wanted us to enjoy the day and see what was important to us. We learned so much during the ride to Rome, then met our guide on time at the Forum. Our guide for the Forum, Colosseum and Baths was also excellent. She had an abundance of information about the area and it was evident that she enjoyed sharing it with us. We had 5 tweens and teens with us and she even kept them engaged and was patient when they were not. We asked to skip the Aquaducts and see Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and the Pantheon instead - after a lunch break. John Luc said he knew of a good place near the Baths for lunch. While we toured there, they made a reservation for the 12 of us, so we walked in and sat right down for a wonderful lunch. Our drivers just made the whole day fun and very easy. Thank you very much for an incredible day touring Rome.

What a great day our group of 8 had touring Rome. Our tour guide/drive, Jean Lucca, was a history book of information about the architecture, art and streets of Rome. We saw the Coliseum, Trevi Fountain (albeit under renovation), Pantheon, Forum, toured the Vatican as well as some great spots for photos. In between Jean Lucca arranged a delicious lunch at a local cafe. We all loved our trip to Rome and our very special tour and highly recommend jean Lucca if you're ever thinking of seeing Rome in a day. Caio!

…We are a group of six adults who took a Mediterranean cruise to Italy in early August. Before the trip, I had emailed to make enquiries about shore excursion options and gate admissions to the Vatican and the galleries in Florence. Prompt, patient and courteous responses were received.

When our ship docked at the port of Civitavecchia, near Rome, we had disembarked earlier than planned, and were pleasantly surprised that our driver, Gian Luca, arrived 20 minutes ahead of schedule. He was very knowledgebale in navigating the streets outside and in Rome, and even helped us purchase tickets to the Colosseum because we had difficulty booking on-line. Subsequent stops at key sightseeing areas were managed smoothly, since his advice of duration for each stop worked out perfectly. He was also punctual in meeting us at pre-set locations.

The Mercedes van was clean and new and our driver Gian Luca was the best. He was friendly and we felt very comfortable right away. He took us to all the places in the tour and surprised us with some extra less known sites. He treated us like we were VIP's.He was very knowledgeable about Rome and really let us relax and enjoy the city.

My husband has a heart condition and gets tired from too much walking so this was perfect.We were always dropped off close to the location we were visiting. We never felt rushed. At the end of the day I really felt like we had seen so much and we were not exhausted.

We also took the wine tour with Gian, which was great fun. Although we didn't actually go to any "wineries" we did get to do great wine tastings, which is really what we wanted anyway!! Gian and my husband had a great time discussing Roman history.

We recently did a 2 days in Rome tour with our driver Gianluca. We were a group of 4 and we were picked up in a spacious van, so were not crowded at all. Needless to say the tour was excellent.

Gianluca provided us with a history of the sites we were about to see and then allowed us plenty of time to explore the sights on our own. He was punctual, actually showing up half an hour earlier then our start time and was waiting for us outside. He was professional courteous and his english was awesome.

I don't think we would have seen all we did without taking this tour, including some special gems that were not on the schedule. Awesome job Gianluca. Highly recommended!!

A Rome native he was very familiar with Rome and took us to several great overlooks and viewing spots. The over 1500 excellent reviews sum up the quality of this private tour company.

Maybe not the cheapest but level of service, cleanliness of vehicle and professionalism make it a bargain!! We prepaid for our tours including the Vatican and Coliseum and had excellent follow up and suggestion emails before arriving!

Jean-Luc was incredible! We loved hearing about the art and architecture and history of Rome on our way to Rome from Civitavecchia. Everyone learned something -- from me, who specialized in European history at the university, to my 11yo, who knew absolutely nothing beforehand. He guided us through all the lines at the Colosseum and gave us invaluable tips through the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's Basilica on a day when Rome was packed (one of my friends counted 15 cruise ships docked in Civitavecchia that day, and the Pope had an audience in the morning). He also booked us at a great family-style restaurant, close to the places we were visiting. It was by far my family's favorite day of our European cruise. I can't say enough about your service and our experience. Everyone with me (60 other people/families) was jealous of our fantastic day. :)

John was excellent. He was always on-time and watching to make sure we found our way back to the car. His spoke English very well and had a great sense of humor. We used numerous tour guides on our trip (5 or 6) and John was the best. A great guy!

The service we received was just perfect! Gian Luca, our driver, and Rafaela our guide for the Vatican/Colosseum/Forum, were friendly, warm, intelligent, charming, and most importantly prompt! In fact, they arrived early. We hired our driver for three full days and had three wonderful lunches in restaurants that were not packed with other tourists. They were clean and the food delicious! Rafaela filled our heads with facts and stories, and gave us the experience of a lifetime. Book them and you will be happy!

Travelled with two "special needs" individuals (scooter & wheelchair) and Gian Luca Attolini (our limo driver) was absolutely fantastic with a specialized pre-arranged 2 day tour. The owner/operator obviously has VERY high standards of customer service. Prompt and extremely knowledgeable, Gian is a professional from the start. We visited and/or viewed most major attractions during our limited stay...even had two Catholic Mass...one with The Pope at St. Peters...Unbelievable timing!!! 

They do not need another they are great review. But well I am going to do it because they are great. I had Gianluca as driver. He showed us all ancient Rome. He was very savvy, polite and a great driver. He showed us also one of the gems of Rome: The Knights of Malta keyhole view. Check that place out it worth it.

Thias company was our choice during our recent trip to Italy for airport transfer to our hotel in Rome and we combined it with a tour of ancient Rome. Our driver, Gianluca, was wonderful to us, very knowledgeable, and we were very happy with how we spent our day in Rome. They worked with us on customizing the tour (our time was somewhat limited) so we got to see what we wanted to see in comfort. We also used the same company after our cruise for Civitavecchia port transfer to the airport, and our driver Irene was early and waiting on us - she was courteous, helpful, a safe driver... and she got us to the airport timely. We were extremely happy we chose them . No negatives at all. We would recommend them, and we will use them again when in Italy.

He was at the port in advance of our arrival and had secured a good location that minimized the walking we needed to do. His vehicle comfortably held us and our luggage...

Our driver Gian Luca Attolini, was excellent and could really get us around traffic. We were in Rome on a rainy day, and he provided us umbrella's, and modified the tour to keep us dry. At one point a lady on a scooter fell right in front of us, due to the slippery streets. He jumped out of our tour car, and helped her to the sidewalk with others. We were headed to the Spanish steps, where he found a policeman and directed them to aid the woman.

We were in Rome via cruise for only a few hours. This is the only way to see all of the major areas in such a historic city. John picked us up at cruise terminal exactly as stated. He took us to all the major sites and provided shortcuts for lines etc. He also took us to a local Italian restaurant with very reasonable prices. He even took us to a camera shop to get a memory card which was also very reasonable. Did an excellent job and highly recommend as a way to see Rome. He is also very knowledgeable and got us back to ship in ample time.

Rome is such a large city that without a private chauffeured car I don't know how you could ever get around the city and you could spend as much on taxi fare as you spend on an 8 hour car guided tour . GianLuca was our Chauffeur and from the moment he picked us up at the train station he was full of useful information about the city and all of the sights we were driving by. We took the Angels and Demons tour but we saw so much more than the locations listed in the book. As we were in Rome on a Sunday the crowds in St. Peter's Square were huge but we just didn't feel our tour would be complete without seeing the inside of St. Peters so GianLuca took us back by the square 3 times to check out the lines and on our third try the line was finally short enough to visit. I have to thank Gian for how much he did for us the restaurant he took us to for lunch was amazing, he was patient with us wanting to keep on going back to St. Peters, and towards the end of the day he even backtracked for me when I mentioned I needed to go to Hard Rock Café to get a pin I get in every city I go to.
